Mountville, Pa. (January 24, 2012) – Community Services Group (CSG) recently announced that Dr. Terri Calvert has joined All Seasons Therapy Center in Williamsport. Dr. Calvert, a Board Certified Psychiatrist, will provide psychiatric evaluations and medication monitoring for adults.
 

Dr. Calvert received her Doctor of Medicine at Pennsylvania State University and completed her residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. She is also a recipient of the Kenneth L. Artiss, M.D. Award, presented by Walter Reed Army Medical Center Psychiatry Department for “an outstanding research paper representing thinking, imagination, and creative contribution to Psychiatry” (June 1992).

Mountville, Pa. (January 27, 2012) – Community Services Group (CSG) was recently recognized by Lancaster County’s Workforce Investment Board for their contribution to the workforce system in 2011.Dave Study, Recruiter for CSG, received the Building Bridges award on behalf of the company at the 12th Annual Lancaster County Workforce Summit.

Every year the Workforce Investment Board recognizes individuals or groups who have made major contributions to the workforce system in four categories: Building Bridges in our Community, Expanding our Horizons, and Contributions to the Mission Award. CSG was honored with the Building Bridges in our Community Award because of their working relationship with PA CareerLink. CSG Hiring Specialists and Recruiter work closely with local Career Link offices in order to develop  better working relationships and enhance hiring practices.

Mountville, Pa. (January 10, 2012) – On December 29, Leah Gillespie, a Senior Program Director for Community Services Group (CSG) received a Service Award from Recovery Connections (formerly the Consumer Satisfaction Team of Lancaster County). Leah received the award for her 10 years of service on the Board of Directors (including Board President) and sub-committees.

Leah, a resident of Lancaster, oversees all of CSG’s Mental Health Residential and Supported Housing programs across the company as well as the Autism Spectrum Disorder homes in Lancaster and Dauphin Counties.  An employee with CSG for 13 years, Leah works closely with other CSG senior managers to oversee operations at their Grandview Plaza office in Lancaster.

Mountville, Pa. (November 29, 2011) – Community Services Group (CSG) recently announced that Crystal Leidy has been promoted to Program Director for three of their Residential Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) homes. Crystal, a CSG employee since 2004, will work from Grandview Plaza in Lancaster and oversee three ASD homes in Lancaster and Dauphin Counties.

Crystal began working for CSG shortly after graduating from Millersville University with a B.A. in International Studies/Government. Prior to this position Crystal supervised multiple sites as the Assistant Program Director for the Individuals with Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Lancaster Residential Program. In May of 2010 she received her Master’s in Public Administration at Penn State University in Harrisburg.

Mountville, Pa. (November 1, 2011) – Community Services Group (CSG) recently announced that Sandra Kauffman has joined the Acute Partial Hospital Program in Sunbury as Program Director.  Sandra is responsible for overseeing the program which promotes recovery through the provision of support services in the community as an alternative to inpatient care for adults experiencing psychiatric symptoms that require more than outpatient counseling.

Sandra comes to CSG with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. Previously, Sandra worked as the Clinical Coordinator for Safety Net Counseling in Mt Carmel, providing oversight for all clinical aspects of the program. Sandra earned her Masters degree in Social Work from Marywood University.

(October 26, 2011) – Community Services Group (CSG) is pleased to announce recent improvements to our referral management process,  including the development of the Referral Management  Department and extended hours.  These improvements will make it faster and more efficient to make a referral to CSG.

In order to better meet customer needs, referrals to CSG services can now be coordinated by the Referral Management Team by phone, email or fax, Monday through Thursday 7:00 am to 7:00 pm and Friday 7:00am to 4:30pm. Open Access time is now available to Community Behavioral HealthCare Network of Pennsylvania (CBHNP) members in need of outpatient behavioral health services. This will reduce wait times for intake appointments, provide more timely assistance to those in need and more effectively engage individuals in their therapy.  Open Access differs from walk-in and crisis: individuals and referral sources must first call our Referral Management Team for a brief interview to ensure that they are eligible for outpatient therapy.

Community Services Group Invites State Legislators to Help Recognize Direct Support Professionals Week

MOUNTVILLE, Pa. (September 12, 2011) – Governor Tom Corbett has declared the week of September 11-17, 2011 as Direct Support Professionals Recognition Week. This recognition is in appreciation for the work done by community provider staff who care for individuals with disabilities. Community Services Group (CSG), one of the largest human service providers across the state, has asked representatives and senators in19 counties throughout Pennsylvania to join CSG in recognizing these dedicated professionals by visiting one of their local programs whose mission is to help individuals with disabilities overcome challenges and reach their full potential. CSG also asked state representatives and senators to adequately fund the programs that employ Direct Service Professionals so they may be paid a fair rate of pay and vital services can continue.

CSG Promotes New Family Based Mental Health Services Program Director

Mountville, Pa. (August 11, 2011) – Community Services Group (CSG) recently announced that Paula Yeckley, LSW, has been promoted to Program Director for Family Based Mental Health Services in Williamsport. Paula, a CSG employee since June of 2007, will oversee this unique therapeutic program designed to assist families in caring for their children and adolescents with behavioral, social and emotional problems.

MAPS Incorporates Parent Child Interaction Therapy into Services

Community Services Group (CSG) continues to embrace evidenced based practices.  In the fall of 2010, CSG was selected to participate in the Parent Child Interaction Therapy Training Grant through the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). This grant provided CSG with training and supervision required for two MAPS therapists to become certified Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) clinicians. Jeff Willard, Ph.D. and Gwen Burkholder, LCSW, CACD, attended two training sessions in Butler, PA and participate in bi-monthly supervision calls with the PCIT study director at UPMC.  Jeff and Gwen are both on target to complete the training requirements by the end of 2011 and will become PCIT certified.

CSG Launches New Website
