CSG's Chariots programs offer many foster parenting opportunities with different types of children. Provider parents receive extensive and continuous training to help a child succeed. Provider parents and staff work as a team to provide each child with individualized and specialized treatment.
Benefits of being a foster parent include:

- Excellent training and 24/7 support
- Opportunity to change a child's life and enhance your own
- Being a "life coach" to a child and their family
Foster parents must:
- Be 21 years of age
- Complete 35 hours of training for CRR-HH and 25 hours of training for IFC
- Obtain and maintain current criminal background, child abuse, and FBI clearances
- Complete a home study evaluation
- Be compassionate, flexible, and committed to children
- Be willing to work with the child's family
Provider parents are needed in the following levels of care:
- Community Residential Rehabilitation - Host Home (CRR-HH). CRR-HH is the most intensive level of care provided by Chariots and is designed for children with severe emotional or behavioral problems.
- Individualized Foster Care (IFC). IFC children are in the custody of Children and Youth services and may have medical, behavioral, and/or independant living skill needs.
- Foster Care (FC). FC children are in the custody of Children and Youth services and placed in the foster home for a limited period of time. Children in FC need protecttion, care, and nurturing.
- Respite Services. Respite services provide temporary relief and rest for families and their children who have mental health issues and/or mild mental retardation.
